David Reznick, one of the founding partners of CohnReznick predecessor firm, Reznick Group was inducted into the Montgomery County Business Hall of Fame on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the Universities of Shady Grove Conference Center in Rockville, MD.

A native of the Montgomery County area, David graduated from the University of Maryland and in 1977 formed Reznick, Fedder & Silverman.  During his tenure, David led the Firm’s growth from a local office in Bethesda, MD to a top 20 national CPA firm, then known as Reznick Group and eventually becoming CohnReznick, one of the top national public accounting firms.  In addition to his business achievements, David is an accomplished speaker, community champion, and philanthropist. He has become well-known in the region as well as the country for his tireless work to create and protect affordable housing.

To date, David’s professional and philanthropic honors include induction into Washington DC’s Business Hall of Fame, the Catholic Charities Progress of Peoples Award, the Smith School Leadership Excellence Award, the Housing Association of Nonprofit Developers (HOUSING&) Lifetime Achievement Award, the Affordable Housing Conference of Montgomery County’s Paul Sarbanes Excellence in Public Service Award, and the National Association of Home Builders Award for his 40+ years of contributions to the affordable housing industry. He was a founding member of the Jewish Foundation for Group Homes and has been actively involved in fundraising for the research and treatment of breast cancer, children’s cancer, muscular dystrophy, leukemia, and lymphoma.
