Investing in the Next Generation of Leaders

At Housing&, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to pursue higher education without limitations. The GenerationHousing& Scholarship is our commitment to opening doors and empowering students to reach their full potential.

This scholarship awards $10,000 per student—distributed over four years—to outstanding high school seniors from Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia who are headed to an accredited four-year college or university. We’re looking for students who lead with purpose, show strong academic potential, and are passionate about giving back to their communities.

The next application cycle will reopen in 2026.

More Than a Scholarship—A Launchpad for Success

Since its launch in 2023, the GenerationHousing& Scholarship has supported 4 students, with 50% choosing to attend Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Our scholars are now thriving on campuses across the country and shaping the future in powerful ways.

But we don’t stop at tuition support. Each recipient is sent to school with a full care package—a set of durable luggage packed with essentials to ease their transition, including a brand-new laptop, personal care items, school supplies, and thoughtful touches to help them feel seen, celebrated, and supported.

“I still remember the two suitcases I received from GenerationHousing& at the event two years ago. Who would’ve known how helpful those would be over the last 2 years?”
— Destin Marshall, Morgan State University & 2023 GenerationHAND Scholar
