Marks, Thomas Architects is proud to announce that The Cottages at Greenwood community has won a USGBC Maryland Wintergreen Award in the category of Socio-Economic Impact. Howard County Housing committed itself to a for-sale project consisting of single family detached, affordable, green, universally designed homes and the end result was the Cottages at Greenwood; a first of its kind project that was sold out before construction was half completed. The project was intended to be a model for future affordable homeownership development and easily replicable.
